Your Advocacy Needed on COVID-19 Bill!

Please take a minute today to ask Congress to include funding for disability services as it negotiates its first COVID-19 package of the new Congress!

We need your help! We received a legislative ask from The Arc, a national organization that promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They have asked us to reach out to our legislators immediately about including us in the first COVID relief package of the new Congress.

Right now, the House bill DOES include dedicated funding for Medicaid home and community-based services, but we need your help to keep this provision in the bill, as many competing priorities are vying for funds. The Senate version does not include this.

Please tell Congress that these key provisions need to be included:

  • Dedicated funding for Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS)
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) for direct support professionals
  • Paid leave for all caregivers
  • Economic impact payments for all people with disabilities

You can do so by visiting the website below. Click the link, enter in your information, and hit send!
The Arc already has a pre-written message ready to go for you.

Tell Congress: Include Disability Community in COVID-19 Relief Bills!

As always, thank you for your advocacy!
