Minnesota Senator Visits Phoenix Home
Sen. Karla Bigham recently visited one of the Phoenix Residence homes she represents.
Phoenix Residence staff, individuals, and family members welcomed Sen. Karla Bigham to Eric’s House this week. After a tour of the group home, we discussed why supporting community-based services is critical for people with disabilities and how to improve our advocacy efforts for next session. Sen. Bigham strongly agreed we need to advocate for an individual bill for our 7% cut. This was Sen. Karla Bigham’s first visit to Eric’s House as senator for District 54. She also represents our Newport home.
