Person-Centered Training Offered at The Phoenix Residence

Over the past couple of months, The Phoenix Residence has offered Person-Centered Thinking training to all staff.

Over the past couple of months, The Phoenix Residence has offered Person-Centered Thinking training to all staff. As an organization, we strive to provide services to clients in a personalized manner; taking into consideration their wants and needs.

Throughout the industry, the term “person-centered” has been used for years and is a large part of what we do at The Phoenix Residence.  This past winter, Phoenix staff was invited to participate in training by the Department of Human Services and the University of Minnesota. This training was led by a group of experts who have invested a significant amount of time developing tools and resources to evolve the philosophy and its ability to assist individuals get the needed services.

The Phoenix Residence has been fortunate to have one of the first certified trainers in the person-centered curriculum lead our training efforts.  We are very excited for the knowledge and new teachings presented at the trainings - our conversations, language, and processes will be reviewed and enhanced.  As a company, this is a priority as we continue to see changes in disability services and what our clients want from the services we offer.  Our goal is to better serve our clients’ unique needs and build upon the services we are currently offering.
