Commemorating Our Managers for Their Leadership
Our managers from the East Group deserve a round of applause.
Please join us in thanking the managers from our East Group, including our Assistant Program Director and managers at our Foss, Furness, and Howard homes.
Hilda Momanyi – Assistant Program Director
- Started in 2022
- Previously a Float Assistant Program Director
From Program Director Kim Phillips: “It’s rare to find someone who brings both warmth and wisdom to the workplace, but Hilda does just that. Always greeting everyone with a smile, she radiates positivity and sets the tone for a collaborative and supportive environment.
Her dedication to helping managers grow in their roles is truly inspiring. Whether it’s offering guidance on policy, stepping in to support a new initiative, or simply being a sounding board for ideas. Her commitment to professional development and her willingness to invest time and energy into others’ success has made a lasting impact across our team.”
Thekeisha Thomas – Foss House
- Started as DSP in 2017
- Began Foss PS position in 2025
“My favorite memory was from when I was on vacation. Bruce was having a hard day because he didn’t see me for a few days. He calls me “Sophia,” and he begged staff to please call me. Staff told him I was on vacation, but he told them “Sophia wouldn’t mind.” So staff called me, and I talked to Bruce. He was so happy to hear my voice. After that, staff said his day was much better. One of my favorite memories is being able to make our individual’s day and keeping them happy.”
From APD Hilda Momanyi: “Thekeisha is a natural leader and has been instrumental in guiding our team through challenges and inspiring innovative solutions. She communicates with her staff effectively and fosters a supportive work environment, which has not only enhanced team performance, but has also boosted overall morale.
Since she became a supervisor this year, she has been very dedicated to individuals' development and growth. She has found new ways to engage individuals through different activities. She takes them shopping for their outfits, especially during festive seasons, and helps them decorate their home.
Thekeisha models a progressive and proactive approach in everything she does. With her open mind and kindness, she excels at training staff. Documentation is no longer a problem at Foss House, whether it’s ISPs, intake elimination, T-logs, or medication prompts. She motivates every staff member at Foss House to complete their documentation by offering training and one-on-one help.”
Roberta Malcom – Foss House
- Started in 2022
- Previously Program Manager at Janet Court
“I love taking them to events and getting them out, so they don’t always feel like they are stuck in the house.”
From APD Hilda Momanyi: “Roberta is very kindhearted, very sensitive, and a huge asset to our company. She has brought us a positive attitude and personal touch when it comes to caring for the residents and families. She treats everyone as important, and she also has a God-fearing personality.
She takes her time to learn new ideas, is very willing to explore and learn unfamiliar and different things. She is very receptive, curious, and enthusiastic. She has gone out of her way to help cover the floor, even when we are short-staffed and scrambling to find coverage. Roberta will always be there at Foss House. I am so impressed that she continues to learn and develop in her leadership role, because she is a teamwork champion here at Phoenix. I love you, Roberta.”
Shirlena Wilson – Furness House
- Started in 2018
- Previously a DSP and House Supervisor
My favorite memory from the last year was watching the ladies getting excited at Christmas opening up their gifts and taking pictures on the holidays dressed all alike.”
From APD Hilda Momanyi: “Shirlena is a fabulous employee and a huge asset to Furness residents, family, and staff. She deserves this recognition.
I have worked with Shirlena for over three years now. I find her to have a great personality, very jovial, and helpful. Shirlena is very dedicated as a manager at Furness House. Families enjoy working with her. I have watched Shirlena have great conversations with the families. The families rely so much on Shirlena because they trust her when it comes to their loved ones. Shirlena takes her time to let them know all is well. (She always says, “I got this.”)
So many of us here at Phoenix are constantly amazed with her performance. She has completed all her Thriving Leaders classes and is on the move with training. Thank you for your dedication and contribution, and your commitment, professionalism, and sense of humor!”
Shonte Curtis – Furness House

Over the past 8 months as a supervisor, she has completed all her training and demonstrated her skills in this field. She exemplifies true professionalism and maintains a high quality of work.
The individuals at the house are pleased to have her, because she ensures that activities and goals are completed promptly.
