Phoenix Residence Recognizes the March Employees of the Month

The Phoenix Residence would like to recognize Vanessa Wilson, Philip Jones, and Tanguneca Beecham as the March Employees of the Month

The Phoenix Residence would like to recognize Vanessa Wilson, Philip Jones, and Tanguneca Beecham as the March Employees of the Month!

Vanessa Wilson from the Douglas House has applied herself in giving our individuals good, quality care with a positive, personal touch. She believes in the team approach; we are here to help each other and have the best possible day. She likes to have fun while engaged in her duties and injects a good dose of humor while working. She is always willing to jump in and help with an outing or appointment. Vanessa also works reserve shifts at Chaparral House.  She recently picked up a morning shift which is new to Vanessa and performed like a veteran staff without missing a beat. Vanessa is a very solid part of our team and we are all better when she is working with us. Thank you Vanessa for all you do!

Philip Jones from the Ludden House primarily works the night shift but when able, he will pick up extra shifts or work additional hours so individuals can participate in an activity outside of the home.  Philip has a special connection with each person at Ludden house. He focuses on each person’s likes and centers the day around everyone’s interests. Most recently, an individual could not sleep so Philip spent time with her arranging her room to make her book shelf more accessible and helped straighten out her closet and drawers.  When another individual is having a tough day, Philip turns on Christmas music because he knows it comforts the individual. Thank you Philip for all you do at Ludden House!

Tanguneca Beecham from Foss House has been with The Phoenix Residence for a little over a year. She has recently taken on a larger day position, spending the day with the individuals at home. Tangie has formed a great relationship with all individuals – she had an instant bond with a new individual and especially with another who began to decline in health. Tangie knew she only had an hour in the morning with one individual before she would become sleepy; Tangie would use this time to play games, memory cards, paint nails, and so on. She also takes two individuals to music and art class twice a month. Tangie helps train other employees at Foss and keeps the house looking nice and clean. She has the individuals involved in activities throughout the day such as games, flying helicopters, putting model planes together, or going out somewhere for the day. Tangie is a hard worker and is always willing to help out, pick up extra shifts, or stay late. Thank you Tangie for all you do!
